I had a crazy few weeks with fashion week and then market but found amazing new designers and accessories, one of them being eat.shop.guides. Eat.Shop.Cities isn't your typical city guide book, what makes these guide books unique is that they find "one of a kind, worth going out of the way to visit, independently owned local businesses." Each city is a different color so you start with one and want to collect them all. I'm going to London in April and the woman representing the guides was nice enough to give me a eat.shop.london and I love it.
Delicious Delicious Delicious! Isaac Mizrahi show was like being in a candy store, or shall I say amazing cake shop. The collections colors were yummy and the cakes to follow were yummier. There was even a runway appearance from dyed poodles that matched the clothes. With lots of grey and cream in the collection in between we got pops of colors- hot pink, orange, blue, and sparkles! The collection is for your UES woman who loves to lunch but I must say that I did find a few things that I would love to wear while eating a delicious cake from cake boss.
Anna Sui show was overall one of my favorite. It was nice for a change to see models walking down the runway with smiles on their faces. The dresses were cute, the patterns were flirty, and the cat hats were sassy. I love the collections vibe of rocker-girlfriend with short bouncy dresses with a mod glam look.
He was running around from one show to another, standing outside Lincoln Center in the freezing cold snapping shots and bringing fashion to the streets of New York City. I saw him on the last day of Fashion Week and finally got the guts to go up and ask him if I can photograph him. He is the nicest man. Here is my shot!
I left seeing two amazing collections, Erin Fetherston and SUNO. Lets start with Erin, her presentation was the most interesting Ive seen so far-the concept was as though you are backstage on the runway show. The stylist was running around doing last minute touch ups right before the girls posed for the camera. The collection is flirty and fun-huge fan!
I absolutely loved SUNO collection-the prints simply wowed me. It was elegant and sophisticated with earthy palettes with hints of bring colors here and there. They took a risk with mixing their prints but it was well worth it-it was beautiful.
Sorry for the delay...have a lot of catching up to do! 1 more day of FW to go.
